In this ceramic workshop you will be taken through the technique of slab building to make you very own jewellery tray/trinket dish.
During the first 10 minutes of the workshop you will be encouraged to sketch out personal templates from which you will create your tray. If you don't feel capable of this there are standard templates for you to use!
Once you have your templates for your ceramic dishes you will start rolling, compressing and cutting out all your pieces of clay. You will then be shown how to sturdily join pieces of clay together, from which you can go ahead and make your jewellery dish!
Once your pieces are made and decorated to your taste you will be able to paint them.
What to expect from this class:
- Be taught hand-building techniques
- Add personal design touches as you go
- Get plenty of tips and inspiration from your host
- Choose to fill yours with personal details, from stamping your name onto it to carving details onto your finished piece!
